Funerals

FUNERALS

Arrangements are made with the Pastor  (usually through a local Funeral Home) for the time and planning of the Funeral Mass and Memorial Service (a special time of prayer usually celebrated the night before a funeral to share memories and to celebrate the life of the deceased).  The Pastor  and the Director of Liturgy and Worship work with each family to plan the memorial service, funeral mass and burial.

A special committee in the parish provides a meal for families following funerals of parishioners. These committee volunteers prepare food dishes or help serve at a meal for family members after a funeral of a parish member. The parish furnishes main dishes and the committee prepares side dishes. The committee handles setup and cleanup for the meal.

We are always in need of people to provide food for the funeral meals and to serve on the committee that serves the meal.  For information and/or the opportunity to be a part of this funeral dinner ministry contact the Parish Office  (812) 963-3273
